Welcome to Luxembourg

As with most countries in Europe, Luxembourg was a wonderful place to visit. Being just a few hours drive from our home in Dusseldorf, a day trip to Luxembourg was always available. Within a few months of arriving in Europe we made our 1st trip to Luxembourg. Our 1st trip consisted of wandering Luxembourg city and spending time in the Vallée de la Pétrusse.

On our 2nd trip we took time to visit the American WWII cemetery and memorial on the outskirts of the city. It was an amazing tribute to the American soldiers that fought and died in the area. It was also beautiful how Gen. Patton's grave is at the head of the cemetery over looking his troops.

One other important bonus of visiting Luxembourg city was that they had a Chi Chi's Mexican restaurant on the main square. This may sound silly, but when you are craving Mexican food, it was the closest "decent" Mexican food around. This meant traveling through 4 countries for a taco!
